Will Wright once gave a lecture that featured SimWar, a bare-bones RTS. The point was that at the heart of these games there is a Rock Paper Sciccors relation between production, offence and defence. And a balance between short term and long term strategies. I wondered whether or not SimWar worked. In a Machinations Diagram it certainly does, although it does seem to favor a turtling strategy. SimWar is a good show case for Machinations. In this diagram you can activate or deactivate Artificial Players. You should activate a maximum of one for each color. If you feel like playing yourself. Deactivate all artificial players for that color and play yourself by clicking double outlined elements in your chosen color.
