A platform game par excellence, Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest is much fun to play. It features all typical platform gameplay, emphasising timing and control. Every progressive level requires more precision and better use of all the moves of Donkey Kong Jr. and Diddy Kong to rescue Donkey Kong from Captain K. Rool. The game is long and varied, with interesting terrain and sometimes devious opponents. Luckily you can save your progress at various points, playing through the game in one go is virtually impossible. On of the best things I like best about this game the way you have to learn all these different avatars. At various points the two little apes ride different creatures and vehicles or shape-change in new forms. This enables them to fly or pull tricks that are otherwise impossible, and which are often the key to solve the different levels.
